Future Goals: I hope to one day be involved in the negotiation process between Okinawa’s local
government or Japanese government and the U.S. Military. What have you done to make an impact on the Asian community, as well as Temple University? Upon joining the TU Nihongo Kaiwa club my sophomore year of college, I took on the responsibility of president once my predecessor graduated. I work to bridge gaps there may be between Japanese students who are here at main campus studying abroad and American students studying Japanese to give them a space in which they can mutually learn language and culture from each other outside of the class room. Describe a strength and a weakness: I have a tendency to stretch myself thin with the numerous activities I am involved in, having an adverse effect on my stress level. I am also terrible and mathematics and sports! However, my strength is that I am very much a people person. I am passionate about what matters to me and enjoy working with and interacting with people. I believe I am an effective communicator. Passionate, honest, determined |
